Natu Kodi Kura:
Ingredients Needed:
1 kg country chicken cut into small pieces
2 large onion sliced
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
2-3 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp coriander powder
10-12 curry leaves
2 cardamom pods (elaichi)
3 cinnamon sticks (dalc hinichakka)
7-8 pepper corns
5-6 tsp of oil
100 gms fresh coconut
10 gms poppy seeds (gasalu)
20 gms ginger
1 small garlic
coriander for garnish
How To Make:
Heat oil in a cooking vessel. Add chopped onion and saute for a few seconds.
Add ginger garlic paste and saute for another 2 minutes or until fragrant.
Now add chicken pieces (nattu kodi), salt and turmeric powder and stir fry for 10 minutes or till the water evaporates.
Add coconut and poppy seeds paste, chopped coriander leaves, Chicken masala powder, coriander powder and red chilly powder and mix.
After a minute add water and well combine. Cover with lid. Simmer for approx 30 minutes.
Cook stirring occasionally till the chicken pieces soften. Turn off the flame when the curry reaches to required gravy consistency.
Spicy and delicious Andhra style naatu kodi kura is ready to serve.
Eat and enjoy with your family and friends.
Severe hot with white rice, roti or any type of biriyani.
